Abstract: The vortex patch is a prototypical weak solution to the two-dimensional incompressible Euler equations and has been the subject of extensive study. In this lecture, we shall discuss the flexibility of vortex patches, specifically regarding the existence and boundary regularity of uniformly rotating solutions, as well as the corresponding rigidity phenomena. This talk is based on several joint works with various collaborators.
